Beginning Monday, March 7, 2022, we are pleased to announce that as a result of low transmission rates, we will be implementing changes in our current COVID-19 health and safety policies in our schools in accordance with the latest guidance. New Student Initiative the Devereaux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA) Screener
To identify and support the social-emotional growth of all children in our school, the DOE is excited to be administering a strengths based SEL screener, known as the Devereaux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA). The DESSA asks questions about areas of social-emotional functioning including decision making, relationship building, confidence, and others. Families, we urge you to read notice carefully, contact information, parent deadline and opt out option are included in parent letter.
Student Vaccination Portal
Families are encouraged to record their student’s vaccination status in the DOE's COVID-19 Vaccination Portal, link is provided below. Submitting this information will support New York City’s pandemic response and recovery efforts, and help ensure that DOE schools and buildings remain safe places for all students and staff. Students and their families can access the Vaccine Portal with the student's DOE account login credentials (email and password).

Starting Monday, April 12, those who lost loved ones to COVID-19 will be able to apply for retroactive reimbursements for burial costs.
