Our number one job at I.S. 349 is provide your child with the best positive learning experience in a safe environment.
We work each day to encourage students to be successful at their job of learning. We ask that you do the same by supporting our standardized dress code policy (school uniforms). Uniforms are an important part of the school’s identity: It has a positive impact on students’ learning and behavior in and around the school, serves to unite students, increases student pride, and eliminates barriers where all students are treated equally.
This year we have also partnered with School Basics, a local uniform company, located on Myrtle Avenue to provide families with school uniforms with the logo applied.
School Basics provides our families with a special summer discount. Schedule your child’s fitting and place your order from Monday, July 6 until Monday, August 3 for discounts.
Your family will make an in-person appointment to visit the fitting studio, as the uniform shirts and bottoms are tailor sized to your child. See the school basics flyer for more information. There are three ways to schedule your fitting appointment
