Back to School 2022-23

On September 8, 2022, we will welcome students back to New York City public schools for the first day of the 2022-23 school year. We are so excited to begin this journey together. Enrollment for Summer Rising 2022

Enrollment for Summer Rising 2022 will launch on April 25!
This summer, DOE and DYCD plan to serve a record number of students through Summer Rising, a free, safe, and fun academic and enrichment program for NYC students currently in grades K-8.

New Student Initiative the Devereaux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA) Screener

To identify and support the social-emotional growth of all children in our school, the DOE is excited to be administering a strengths based SEL screener, known as the Devereaux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA). The DESSA asks questions about areas of social-emotional functioning including decision making, relationship building, confidence, and others. Families, we urge you to read notice carefully, contact information, parent deadline and opt out option are included in parent letter.
