2023 Summer Rising

Summer Rising 2023 is a partnership between New York City Public Schools and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Summer Rising is free and available to all NYC students in grades K-8, pending seat availability. Beginning April 17, families can visit the DOE webpage to apply for a Summer Rising seat.

Back to School 2023-2024

On Thursday, September 7, 2023 we will welcome students back to New York City public schools for the first day of the 2023-24 school year. We are so excited to begin this journey together! New York State Exams, Information, Resources & Dates

Students in middle school continue to take the various NY State and local exams that were introduced in elementary school, in addition to some additional tests that reflect their increased skills and opportunities.
